Welcome to Creekside Chalet, a stunning custom home backing year-round McKinney Creek on the beautiful West Shore of Lake Tahoe. This recently-remodeled 3,300 sq. ft home features unique hand-carved cathedral ceilings, radiant-heated floors, new furnishings, 100 Mbps internet (great for video conferencing), boat parking, and is ideally suited for families with multiple young children. Come enjoy this ½ acre wooded retreat conveniently located within close walking distance to Tahoe National Forest hiking trails and the iconic Rubicon Trail, one mile from Chamber's Landing Beach and bike trails, Sugar Pine Point State Park is 5 minutes south on highway 89 and Palisades Tahoe resort is 25 minutes north. 

This well-appointed luxury home offers five spacious bedrooms (including two large king suites) and three beautifully remodeled bathrooms. Each bedroom provides the comforts you expect from home, including blackout curtains, premium bedding and mattresses, and heated floors. Living spaces include a large living room, media room, formal dining area with wet bar and desk, and a kitchen fully equipped for all of your cooking needs. For entertainment there are 4 Smart TVs with streaming services, board games, DVDs, Nintendo Wii, and a 2-player arcade console with 3,000+ vintage games.   

Outside awaits your own slice of the tranquil, year-round McKinney Creek. Enjoy taking in the forest and creek views from the patio, equipped with a BBQ grill, outdoor dining for 12, fire pit and lounge chairs. In summer, the kids will enjoy hours of outdoor play on the swing set or in the creek’s large wading area. Grab the beach towels, chairs, and umbrella and head down to Chamber’s Landing for an afternoon at the beach or the Bar & Grill. 

Additionally, Creekside Chalet offers a wide variety of infant and children’s items including: a crib, 2 Pack 'n Plays, 2 glider/recliners, portable rocking chair, 2 high chairs, infant bouncer seat, infant swing, baby gates (at top and bottom of stairs), kids' dishes/utensils, double stroller and single stroller, 2 hiking child-carrier backpacks, indoor play nook, infant and child life vests, outdoor swing set and sandbox, many toys/board games/books/DVDs, beach toys, and snow sleds.

Parking:
Attached garage parking for 2 (tall 8’4” doors). EV car charger located in the garage. 2 additional spots on paved driveway. Additional dirt/gravel driveway parking for 3 vehicles or boat parking (May-October when no snow). No street parking per county ordinance.  
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months. 

Winter:
Backyard is great for sledding! Chains/4WD often required in Tahoe. Outdoor furniture, fire pit and BBQ grill typically not available.  Whole-house backup generator provides full electricity, heat, and hot water in case of occasional Tahoe power outages. Consider trip insurance in case of severe weather conditions.    

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+ 
* This is a non-smoking home. 
* Pets are not allowed at this home. 
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 11 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!

It was a beautiful nice place to stay for vacation with family and friends. Full kitchen, clean house and ton of replenishment. The resort nearest to property was closed. So we had to drive everywhere.

We had a 3 generation summer vacation in Tahoe in June and could not have asked for a better place. If you have kids, little ones to big ones, this is the house! The house has full of amenities with close proximity to hiking trails and the beach. The closest public beach is a bit far to comfortably walk there but only a short bike ride, which bikes can be rented from Homewood. The creek on the premise is a lovely bonus which creates a lovely ambience. However, the path down is steep and river rocks were slippery. Our family had a great time and would definitely stay again. The staff at Tahoe Rental Company are top notch. Communication was clear and open to suggestions to making the stay even better for future guests. 5 stars!!

This place is PERFECT for families with young kids. We had 3 under the age of 2 and it was safe, clean and easy to manage them!! The owners supplied everything we needed and the rental company responded quickly to our questions. The beach is close but not really walking distance w young kids. It’s a beautiful quiet neighborhood - we never left the entire week!! Hope to go back next year! The older kids were a little disappointed that we didn’t see a bear!

This house was exactly what we expected. Very clean. Great for kids both young and teens.. The stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs were very much appreciated. The closet full of board games and toys were a great addition. This house was a 5 minute drive to Homewood Ski Resort. Well stocked kitchen with plates, silverware, pots pans, blender, crock pot etc. smart TV’s were great. We were looking for a pet-free house and this one was perfect.

The home was perfect and well stocked with everything from coffee to TP, the radiant heat took a while to get warm but the house was a cozy 70 for the rest of our stay. Lots of space and games for the kids as well.

We rented this house so all of our family could be together for Christmas. Upon entering, we were greeted with two lit Christmas trees and other holiday decorations! Everything was spotless and cozy and the house is well stocked. Although the house is geared towards young children we had four teenagers with us and it was perfect with plenty of room to congregate or find space for time on your own. I highly recommend this home!

This is by far the best kept house we’ve stayed in Lake Tahoe in the last 10 years. The house is very nice has everything 3 families with 6 kids needed (including Tesla charger)

iN OUR OLD NEIGHBORHOOD WITH MANY TRAILS. nICE LOCATION. Well stocked. Drawback is steep stairway to main level and small bathrooms. Patio and grill remote from kitchen.

This home is perfect for big families. We had our family trip of 3 generations in Creekside this year and I can honestly say that it was clearly the best home that we have ever rented on the Westshore. Equipped with every amenity and more toys, games, water toys, beach equipment etc than our group of 12 could use in a week. Very convenient location to hiking trails and Chambers beach and Meek’s Bay. Highly recommended!!!7

Being Local and because we LOVE the Tahoe area I've rented multiple Air B&B, VRBO etc. Often you feel "catfished" with the photo's. This home is a sleeping Beauty among all the rental homes out there. Exceptional amenities and finishing touches throughout that you can tell the owners REALLY have a hand in and it's not just an investment property from far away. The new carpet, rugs, towels, sheets and pillows all SOFT. Amazing radiant heating that higher end rentals have. Great Kitchen setup and ammenities to feed a large group multiple meals. Large dining room to share meals or a smaller dining nook off of the kitchen. TWO seperate TV hangout areas! TONS of board games too.At the end of the day, A nice deep soak in that downstairs soaker tub!This place is a favorite and we will be returning, BOOK EARLY, BOOK OFTEN.
