Take your next Lake Tahoe vacation to this Carnelian Bay vacation rental. Conveniently located just three blocks from shoreline in a quiet neighborhood. This cozy cabin is a short drive to several popular mountain resorts and sandy beaches. It is also near pleasant trails less than ? mile from the home for hiking and mountain biking in and around Watson Creek and Tahoe Cross Country Ski Trails. In fact, you will find trails from here to Tahoe City and the town of Carnelian Bay. The main living space is an open floor plan with ample natural light, partial lake views and combines the kitchen and dining room making it easy to host and enjoy everyone's company. In the living room is a nice stone fireplace with comfortable seating arrangements. The master bedroom and two bathrooms can be found just off the main hallway. Upstairs provides a cozy loft area with a television, so kids can play games. Outside features a large deck with patio seating for up to six guests. Having a spacious deck allows you to expand your living area and encourages you to take in the fresh mountain air. A staircase leads you from the front of the deck directly down to the driveway for easy access to the driveway and the entrance to the property. If you are planning a winter ski stay you will need a four wheel drive vehicle, with chains, to make it up the driveway which can become rather slippery. Location: While the kids (and a few grown-up kids) have a snow day on the property's yard, perhaps others will want to venture out to the local ski spots like Northstar (11 miles away) and Alpine Meadows/Squaw Valley (12 miles away). On a summer day, you will be only a few minutes from beautiful lake beaches. You may choose to grab a latte and breakfast at the charming Old Post Office Coffee Shop or a hearty meal at Gar Woods Grill and Pier. For a night out, explore the restaurants in Tahoe City (less than 5 miles) or travel 7 miles north to Crystal Bay in Nevada for cocktails and games of chance. This may mean four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. *AWD/4WD AND chains necessary to access driveway in the winter/snowy months. *Renters must be 25+ *Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 4 adults This is a non-smoking home.
